This
was one of the last systems that we completed
under the umbrella of Hi-Tech Hi-Fi. The
room was an addition to the existing house and
meant to be a dedicated home theater and music-listening
room. I handled the design and product
specifications while Isaac was the primary installer.
The heart of this system is the Runco DTV-933
High Definition CRT Projector. We installed
this unit on the ceiling just behind a rustic
wood rafter. The house is situated on
the west shore of a small inland lake in Eastern
Ohio and because the customer also wanted the
ability to enjoy the waterfront view from the
room, we installed an 8" wide manual pull-down
screen by Da-Lite in front of the wide glass
doors. The audio system features five floor-standing
speakers by PSB, two small yet extremely powerful
Sunfire True Subwoofers, and the Sunfire Theater
Grand Pre-Amp/Processor along with the Sunfire
Cinema Grand five-channel Power Amplifier.
One
of the esthetic highlights of the room is the
raised platform behind the sunken main viewing
area. The secondary seating for guests
up on the platform is accented by a long curved
marble table. Visitors can enjoy a movie
or video concert with plenty of room for their
popcorn and drinks!
The
customer was intimately involved with both the
planning and design of this system as well as
the implementation. He demanded that attention
to detail be our highest priority. I think
we done good!
